In our work together, we will reflect on your past and present, identify your strengths as well as explore new strategies to overcome barriers and achieve higher levels of emotional and mental wellness starting from within.

I have a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, groups, and families using a variety of techniques and skills drawn from evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), etc.

About me

Shannon is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a love for helping others through her work. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She has also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

 

Shannon brings a wealth of experience working with teens, younger/older adults, and substance abuse in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

 

She has experience counseling individuals with concerns of depression, anxiety, adjustment, trauma as well as life transitions. She enjoys reading, blogging, journaling, going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
